To become a TOP MODEL in the industry you have to be bright and attractive. If you are much talented and attractive even then you will have to do some of the following tasks to get not only a modeling assignment but to reach at the top. You will have to understand the various modeling types so that you can choose a specific type of modeling that is suitable for you. There are market demands for certain types of models more often than others. You will have to learn and understand the type of job required for each type of modeling and a few types are mentioned here.

Some of the common types of modeling include fashion modeling, hobby modeling, sports modeling, glamour modeling, trade show modeling, product modeling, commercial modeling and body parts modeling. Fashion modeling is much in demand and has tough standards for getting a modeling assignment in this type of modeling. Glamour modeling is also in high demand. In glamour modeling your photos and sometimes semi nude or nude photos are used for generating sexual feeling. Glamour modeling is also known as body modeling as here your body is at sale. The other more common modeling type is commercial product modeling. In this type of modeling you are asked to act in an ad. Once you go through the literature available for fashion modeling and decide a specific type of modeling then it is the tough job ahead. You will have to make an action plan for yourself for the coming years ahead. For achieving your goal to become a top model, you will have to give yourself the right direction. You will not only be improving your skills, but at the same time you will need to change your attitude. You should show the people associated with the modeling industry that your attitude is highly professional.

To become a top model you need to have highest level of self-confidence. You need to improve your networking skills and find the modeling assignments for you. As more and more assignment you will get, chances to become a top model will increase. You should also be willing to travel, as sometimes the modeling assignment will require your presence in another city, state or country. You should also have an excellent body and you will also require maintaining your body continuously. Having all these qualities in you will make a route for you in the modeling industry and you will become a top model in the coming years.

Tyra BANKS 
                                                        Tyra Lynne Banks (born December 4, 1973) is an American model and media personality. She first became famous as a model, appearing twice on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and working for Victoria's Secret as one of their original Angels. Banks is the creator and host of the UPN/The CW reality television showAmerica's Next Top Model, co-creator of True Beauty, and host of her own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show. Banks is one of four African Americans and seven women to  have repeatedly ranked among the world's most influential people by Time magazine.




When Banks was 15 years old, she started modeling while attending school in Los Angeles. She was rejected by six modeling agencies before she was signed by Elite Model Management at age 16. When she got the opportunity to model in Europe, she put college on hold and moved to Milan. In her first runway season, she was booked 25 shows at the 1991 Paris fashion week. She would later appear on the covers of magazines such as Elle Teen Vogue Vogue. She walked the runways for Chanel, Valentino, Fendi and others. She has featured in advertising campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and Nike. In the mid-1990's, Banks returned to America to do more commercial modeling. Banks was the first African American woman on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In 1997, she received the VH1 award for, "Supermodel of the Year." That same year, she became the first-ever African American chosen for the cover of the Victoria's Secret catalog. She was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005. In 2010, Banks re-signed with her former modeling agency IMG Models. Banks is now a contributor of the Vogue Italia website.

Move into television and film

Banks's television career began on the fourth season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, in which she played lead character Will Smith's old friend Jackie Ames. She made seven appearances in the series. Other TV credits include Felicity, All ThatMADtvNick Cannon's Wild 'n Out (in which she was eatured as a special guest host and team captain) and The Price Is Right (guest-starring as a "Barker's Beauty"). She also appeared as a guest in the animated talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast in an episode entitled "Chinatown.Tyra Banks started her own production company, Bankable Productions (previously named , "Ty Ty Baby Productions"; she did not rename it till the second cycle of America's Next Top Model), which produced The Tyra Banks Show, America's Next Top Model and the 2008 movie The CliqueBanks is the hostess, judge and executive producer of The CW Television Network show America's Next Top Model. In addition, she hosted The Tyra Banks Show, a daytime talk show aimed at younger women, which premiered on September 12, 2005, and ran until May 28, 2010.

Mariana Bayón (born February 14, 1991 in Torreón, Coahuila) is a Mexican model, best known for winning the first cycle of Mexico's Next Top Model, hosted by Elsa Benitez. She did not have an easy childhood. At age eight, her ten year-old sister Maria Rosa died of cancer, and her parents divorced six months later. Prior to entering Mexico's Next Top Model, Bayón began modeling locally in her hometown. She is an avid soccer player.

As the winner of Mexico's Next Top Model, Bayón received a US$ 100,000 contract and representation by Shock Modeling—one of the top modeling agencies in the country, and a cover and editorial in the Mexican edition of Glamour magazine. In addition, she obtained a trip to London and San Francisco, courtesy of Sedal and Volaris, respectively, and a MXN$ 20,000 gift card by Sears.
In late February, came to light that Mariana had signed a contract with a renowned German modeling agency called Model Werk, however, her mother agency remains Shock Modeling. On March 4, modeled for the presentation of Fashion Fest sponsored by the department store chain Liverpool. She is the face of Mercedes Benz Fashion Mexico 2010. She featured in Alejandro Fernández's music video "Me hace tanto bien".


Susan Elizabeth Holmes-McKagan (born May 5, 1972) is an American model, television personality, and designer. She has appeared on the covers of VogueElleMarie Claire andPlayboy. She is also known as the public face and founder of her business venture Susan Holmes Swimwear. According to an interview by Elsa Klensch on CNN, Holmes earned the title "The Body" from iconic fashion photographer Steven Meisel.
